Filter does not fit an 08 Vulcan mean streak

Thoughts about fuel pump on my 2000cckawasakivulcan I’m able to here a humming sound coming from the pump it’s self and didn’t know if that’s normal the one I had on it prior made no sound just didn’t know if that’s something to worry about?its not at it’s best seems to cut out when I’m getting on it could that be do to the pump or my injectors could be clogged haven’t gotten that far yet keep you posted Thanks
